About Charlene (Charlene is currently on maternity leave)
Charlene received her Master's of Science degree in Nutrition from Bastyr University, located in Kenmore, Washington. She's a Registered Dietitian and is licensed to practice here in the state of Alaska. She's lived and worked in many parts of Alaska including Kotzebue, Nome, Egigik and Kenai.
Charlene has a wide array of experience providing nutrition counseling with individuals from different backgrounds or with special healthcare needs. To help assist you in meeting your goals, she can help connect you to licensed mental health therapists, exercise trainers, complementary healthcare providers, and other professionals in Anchorage and surrounding areas.
To enhance her nutrition counseling skills and offer a more empowering understanding of human emotions, Charlene completed a year-long program in Internal Family Systems in 2004.
Most recently Charlene completed the Health Professional Training Program at the International Diabetes Center in Minneapolis.
She sees most of her clients in Anchorage, Alaska and also works with people from many other places by phone.
