What is Therapy For ?
Therapy can be beneficial for almost anybody who is experiencing
problematic feelings, sensations, thoughts, and behaviors which
chronically interfere with feeling calm, centered, compassionate,
curious, confident, creative, courageous, and connected to others.
These "symptoms" are numerous. Here's a list of common symptoms or problems that I work with:
depression, sadness, emptiness, lack of purpose or meaning, loss of
pleasure, hopelessness, fatigue, sleep problems, grief & loss,
regret, low self-esteem, feelings of worthlessness, self-critical
thoughts, self-doubt, anxiety, nervousness, excessive worrying, fear,
obsessive thoughts & feelings, compulsive behavior, avoidant
behavior, procrastination, stress, overworking, overperfecting,
inability to relax, overeating and binge eating, avoidance of emotional
pain, distressing memories, trauma, anger, chronic frustration,
resentment, relationship problems, family & marital conflict,
communication problems, difficulties with adjusting to life transitions
and life changes.
Therapy is a process of listening to and learning from these experiences in order to find relief.
What is to give light
must first endure burning.
